These are really cool and have a little bit of more leather and nice materials that aren't commonly seen on Nike Air Max's. These are a really unique shoes and I think they could have some success in the market for basketball shoes. However, If I was Nike I probably would of waited tell the summer league's started really getting around to action for basketball. This looks like a really cool basketball shoe that could really take off if the right amount attention is given to them.
These retail for $240. These are a really expensive Air Max which sorta brings me to my next idea. Nike has been showing a recent upcoming alongside the Air Jordan brand of having more and more of their prices become higher and higher. However, if this becomes a common trend, sneaker companies that aren't too popular but have a few of those "sleeper" sports shoes in their brand could really swoop in. I can see it now, a whole world rocking FUBU brand shoes. I mean come on Nike and Air Jordan!?!? Who da hell gonna be spending $1,000 at retail for a Nike Air Max in 2025?
Really, these sneaker companies are getting out of hand with how much they are charging. A $240 dollar price point sets these at around $100+ over what a regular Air Max 90 or 95 model would cost you. Maybe it's the materials they chose to make it with, whatever it was, Nike and Air Jordan aren't showing any signs of cheapening unlike the past. The sneaker industry is probably becoming too saturated and overloaded with sneakers that it's tough to see any balances in the hobby.
